Note: Jazz wrap top with peplum

This is my third version of the Jazz pattern from Readytosew. The top is no. 76 of the suggested versions in the e-book, and it’s made in linen. The sizing is as usual EU 40.

I shortened the peplum by 4 cm because I like tops to end at my upper hip, not my lower. Next time I might remove a tiny bit of length from the bodice, too. The wrap is gaping a little so I added a hook and eye to remedy this. If you’re interested in how to fix a gaping wrap top, By Hand London has a very good tutorial. Next time! The neckline is finished with bias tape. One could easily draw a facing, too.

It you are interested in playing with the Jazz pattern I recommend having a look at the #jazzreadytosew hashtag on Instagram. There are literally thousands of versions to spark your creativity there.

I haven’t worn this blouse very much yet because I made it so late in the summer. Next year I’m sure it will get a lot of wear – it looks great with slim cropped trousers for work, or with casual shorts for hot days.
